Deerfield Golf Club has been selected to host the PGA Nationwide Tour "Bank of America Open" (formerly the LsSalle Bank Open) Qualifer. The Nationwide Tour works in conjunction with the Illinois PGA to host a qualifying event for golf professionals and amateurs attempting to gain entry into the Bank of America Open the week leading up to the Nationwide Tour event. Deerfield Golf Club has agreed to host the 2008 Bank of America Open Qualifying on Tuesday May 27, 2008. Bewteen 100 and 120 golf professionals and amateurs are expected to participate in this qualifying event.

Competitors will compete in an 18 holes Stroke Play event to qualify an allotted number of spots into the 2008 Bank of America Open held later that week. Tee times will begin at 7:30 am.
